CopperGarden® Distillery Alembik 3L, riveted with thermometer
This Alembik still was hand-forged from pure copper in high CopperGarden quality. The CopperGarden Alembik is similar in shape and construction to traditional Alembics as they have been used for centuries, but at the same time many modern improvements have been incorporated into this new series. For example, the transition from the spirit tube to the radiator is bolted with wide brass screws and the spirit tube has been widened at the transitions to prevent overpressure. Thanks to this detail, this Alembik still from CopperGarden Manufacture offers a significant increase in safety.
The cooler comes with a cooling water inlet and outlet, the bottom plates are reinforced to prevent distortion during heating and all soldering is guaranteed food safe and processed lead and cadmium free.
This still is a great choice if you want to make high quality brandies from fruit or berries and is equally well suited for brandy and whiskey. In addition, you can distill hydrolates and essential oils directly from the kettle and convert the still to steam distillation (of gin) with some minor tinkering.
We deliver the still with ready mounted original "Al-Ambik®" distillation thermometer. With it you can distill according to the German industry standard 1 to the degree exactly.

Large stills (over 2 liters), you may use privately only for the production of essential oils, hydrolates or water. To distill alcohol, you will need a commercial distiller's license. Please clarify your options with the regional customs office responsible for you. There is a double reporting requirement for this distillery. We must report the sale of this still to customs within three days of purchase. You must report the purchase of the still to your local customs office no later than three days after delivery.
In Germany and Austria, according to the new alcohol tax law, you are allowed to purchase distilleries up to two liters from us without registration. In Switzerland up to three liters for the production of essential oils and hydrolates. In Switzerland, you are allowed to purchase distilleries up to three liters of stills without registration and use them for the production of essential oils.
