GREWI Waterstop is a waterproof sealant specially designed for a wide range of applications. With a content of 300ml it is able to seal leaks on dry, wet or greasy surfaces quickly and easily. The sealant is made of a solvent-based, one-component synthetic rubber that adheres to most substrates, including wet, slightly oily and greasy surfaces.

GREWI Waterstop is versatile and can also be applied to bitumen. It offers good elasticity and is highly resistant to mildew, allowing for rework after through-drying. The sealant is paint compatible with most paints and silicone free, so it can be used on almost all substrates without a primer.

GREWI Waterstop can be used to seal expansion and connection joints in facades, glass and roof areas. It adheres without primer to a wide range of materials such as wood, concrete, metal, glass (except in aquariums), masonry, plaster, ceramics, galvanized sheet metal and many plastics. However, it should be avoided to use it on Styrofoam and similar materials, as the solvent may attack them.

When using GREWI Waterstop, it is important that the bonding surfaces are load-bearing and clean. The joints should be backfilled with polyethylene cords according to DIN 18540. The cartridge should be stored at room temperature before application. Smooth surfaces may be wet, while open porous surfaces should be dry. It is also possible that joints may yellow during prolonged storage under water, but this does not affect the quality of the material.

GREWI Waterstop is applied with a hand pressure gun, and the compound should be applied as evenly as possible. For smoothing the joints it is recommended to use plenty of soapy water. Joint edges can also be masked with adhesive tape, which should be removed immediately after grouting or smoothing. Paint compatibility is possible with commercially available paints and varnishes, but a preliminary test should be carried out with solvent-based paints to avoid possible drying delays.
